Next, our Cars...

Not too many things in our life are as important to our freedom as a car. The freedom to go where we want and when we want is significant to us.

As this becomes a personal choice, we consider form and function in our mode and vehicle.

'83 Pontiac Grand Prix

Our Favorite Car.

Once my old car got so bad it got us in trouble sometimes, we thought we should get something we could depend on.

We chose this for many reasons, but really liked the looks of it. Some say it is the last of the pretty cars.

'67 Plymouth Valiant

My First Car

It was VERY OLD, but this car was all I had for transportation through college and even when we first got married.

I hung-on to it until we just needed to replace it. An older fellow bought it to fix-up, or use as a parts-car for his own similar model.

'69 Camaro

An Oldie, but goody...

My husband had a '69 Camaro as a teen, and loved it. It had just a small V8, but ran like a scared rabbit.

He took lower pay to get into a trade, and had to sell it. Certainly, these are destined to be classic cars, and many people consider them to be so even now.

'76 Chevy Camaro

His First NEW Car!

It was a long time ago, but my husband had wanted a NEW Car. Having gotten rid of his other Camaro, he wanted something like it.

Of course, it was not so much like the other one, but it was really nice. The Mid-Seventies was not the best time for new cars, but this one was better than some. He kept it really nice, too!

Old Chevy Corvette

My husband's Corvette

The Corvette my husband bought for his long commute was NOT what I wanted him to choose. It only has two seats, and you sit down SO LOW that it feels like you're dragging on the ROAD! He has had to put quite a bit of money into repairs because it is about 25 years old.

I really don't know why he likes it so much. Maybe it is a mid-life crisis!

Cessna 172 Skyhawk

My Husband's Plane

I was really against my husband getting this thing! I do NOT like to fly, and I can tell you, I am SCARED to be up in the air so high.

Even with all that, we have flown on vacations and visited family and friends, hundreds of miles away, a number of times.

By the way, the wings are white (except the leading edge and wingtips.) The Color you see on the bottom side of the wing is a reflection of the new pavement onto that very shiny wing surface!
